We love to sing for you

The Mighty Power Singers is an acappella gospel quartet located in Edmonton, Alberta.

We sing mostly the oldies – hymns and gospels favorites – many of which are at least 100 years old.

We love to sing at senior and nursing homes, church services, seniors events, fundraisers, and concerts and gospel jamborees.

Who we are

The Mighty Power Singers is an a cappella gospel quartet located in Edmonton, Alberta.

We sing mostly hymns and gospels songs from days gone by, many of which are still popular, many of them familiar, many might be “new to you” songs. We also sing songs composed within the last 50 years.

We love learning new old songs. We love songs that are rich in harmony and the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We sing many songs from Mosie Lister, Fanny Crosby, DB Towner, Isaac Watts and many others, and even arranged some of own medleys.

Our singing is a music ministry. We love singing a cappella because we can sing anywhere and anytime. We sing in seniors and nursing homes, church services, fundraiser events, banquets, concerts and jamborees. We will travel if you want us sing the mighty power of God for you.

We are:

  • Tenor:     Andrew Yskes
  • Lead:      Doug Mrochuk
  • Bass:      Lieuwe Bruinsma

In 2017, God took our brother, Bastiaan Van Essen, home. We still miss him, as do all who knew him.

In 2018, Colin Campbell joined us for the year, but has now gone on to other singing opportunities. Thanks for playing with us Colin, we wish you God's richest blessings.

We are open to a man or two joining our ministry. If you are a high tenor or baritone and would like to join us, please contact us.
